Norwood caused a boilover in Round 14 of the U18 Torrens University Cup when it toppled finals-bound Woodville-West Torrens by 33 points at Maughan Thiem Kia Oval.

Despite sitting sixth on the ladder, the Redlegs led at every change to not only bank the premiership points but cause the Eagles to fall down a rung into the third place.

Norwood’s Taj Rahui collected 25 disposals to edge out teammate Benjamin Belperio on 24 while Charles Kemp made the most of his chances to boot three goals for the Legs.

Blake Hansen battled hard for the hosts with 25 disposals while Dustin Launer tallied 23, six tackles and a goal.

Sturt took a significant step toward avoiding the wooden spoon when it easily accounted for Central District by 49 points at X Convenience Oval.

The Double Blues registered their third victory of the season on the back of a powerful first half as they booted 10 goals to the Dogs’ two majors.

The victory lifted the visitors off the bottom of the table, a place now filled by the Bulldogs, who slipped a spot after the loss.

Cormac Dwyer and Luca Slade picked up 28 disposals each for Sturt as teammate Jackson Bishop booted four goals while Tahj Krieg had 37 possessions for the hosts.

South Adelaide worked hard amid the blustery conditions at Flinders University Stadium to earn a 10-point win against ladder-leading Glenelg.

Now sitting comfortably in fourth spot, the Panthers restricted the competition’s most potent side to just four goals by keeping the Bays goalless in the first and third terms.

Lachlan Hayes racked up 27 disposals for the hosts while Angus Bradley finished with 22 and Jack Delean kicked two goals from his four kicks.

The Tigers were well-served by Hayden Brokensha with 29 disposals while Darcy Gluyas and Jackob Ryan each had 26.

West Adelaide’s impressive second-half performance propelled it to a 32-point win against North Adelaide at Prospect Oval.

Trailing by eight points at the main change, the Bloods slammed on an accurate 10.1 to the Roosters’ 3.3 after half-time to swing the result their way.

Kobe Ryan did plenty of damage at the stoppages with 32 disposals and eight clearances for West while teammate Luke Young kicked four goals.

North’s Max Blacker accumulated 28 disposals while William Dowling had 24 possessions and a goal for the hosts.
