The five contenders for the 2025 7News Adelaide SANFL Goal of the Year have been released.
SANFL fans will once again have the opportunity to have their say on whose stunning effort is crowned overall winner, with voting now open at the link below.
Port Adelaide’s Jack Watkins, Glenelg’s Lachie Hosie, Sturt’s Casey Voss, Norwood’s Cooper Murley and Adelaide’s Luke Nankervis have been elevated after their six-pointers captured plenty of attention during the minor round.
Watkins, the competition’s leading disposal-winner in his first season with the Magpies, produced a stunning goal on the run at Alberton after having three bounces while Ken Farmer Medallist Lachie Hosie nailed a tight checkside set shot at Noarlunga for the Bays.
Crow Luke Nankervis dodges around an opponent before kicking a stylish checkside in play while Redleg Cooper Murley gathers the Sherrin, puts on the after-burners and goals after two bounces at The Parade.
And who could forget the match-winning soccer goal which was perfectly timed, and executed, by Sturt star Casey Voss which recaptured the lead for the Double Blues in the dying moments against Norwood in Round 9?
The overall winner of the 7News Adelaide SANFL Goal of the Year will be announced during the half-time break of Channel 7’s telecast of the 2025 Hostplus SANFL League Grand Final.
