Vale Ashleigh Young

The SA Football Commission and everyone at SANFL are incredibly saddened by the passing of current and longstanding Female State Programs team manager Ashleigh Young.

As the SA Girls Under 18s team manager for the past seven years and Female Football Co-ordinator for the Norwood Football Club for the past three years, Ashleigh’s outstanding contribution to female football across both women’s and girl’s programs will leave a lasting legacy.

Ashleigh’s desire to be a part of female football at a State level is a reflection of her devotion to growing and enhancing women’s football in this State. She was much loved and admired by players, coaches, colleagues and all those who came to know her in the football community.

We send our love and condolences to Ashleigh’s family and friends, the players, coaches and staff of the Norwood Football Club and the extended football community at this sad time.
