Georgia Swan could have been forgiven for feeling daunted about making her Hostplus SANFLW League debut at the age of 15.
Instead, the Sturt ”sisterhood” at Unley has been a constant calming, and motivating, factor in her sudden surge to 50 Hostplus SANFLW League games.
Speaking on SANFL Radio, the 19-year-old has nothing but praise for her teammates after rising together to form the Double Blues into a competition contender throughout her career.
Set to face Central District at Wigan Oval in her milestone match on Sunday, Swan has also relished the opportunity to wear the treasured red State guernsey for the SA U16 and U19 sides.
Lining up against the boys while playing for Bridgewater before crossing to Mount Lofty’s female program, Swan is also involved in footy off the field, working with SANFL in rolling out Auskick activities during Gather Round.
Displaying great versatility in being able to play at both ends of the park, Swan has enjoyed getting amongst the goals this season which included a career-high bag of three in Round 6.
And she hopes this flexibility could one day play a part in her landing an AFLW opportunity but for now, it is all about winning a flag with her beloved Double Blues.
