SANFL is proud to announce the extension of its partnership with leading national insurer AAMI – now set to extend across the SANFL Women’s League.

AAMI, a longstanding supporter of SANFL, has confirmed it will increase its backing as a Premier Partner of both the SANFL Men’s and Women’s State Leagues in 2023, as well as Official Partner of the SA Country Football Championships, to be held in the Barossa Valley in July next year.

SANFL Chief Executive Officer Darren Chandler said the expansion of AAMI’s partnership with SANFL would immensely benefit football across the State, with even greater support for the eight SANFL Clubs as well as grassroots community clubs.

“We are thrilled to have AAMI take its support of SANFL to a new level in 2023 across our State League competitions and regional footy,” Mr Chandler said.

“As a Premier Partner of our elite Men’s and Women’s Leagues, we’ll see some new initiatives to further strengthen the competitions and provide an exciting new game day experience for footy fans attending marquee SANFL matches.

“The Country Championships has also grown to become a major annual sporting and tourism event for regional SA and this can only be achieved through the tremendous support of partners such as AAMI.”

In 2023, AAMI also will officially partner the successful SANFL Now live streaming platform, while also continuing as Naming Rights Partner of the SANFL Rookies program whereby community football clubs are rewarded for fostering talent.

In 2022, with 73 AAMI Rookies making their debut in the Hostplus SANFL League, the program contributed a total of $36,500 to those players’ foundation community clubs.

Mr Chandler said the League planned to extend the AAMI Rookies program in a similar form to the Hostplus SANFL Women’s League, which enters its seventh season from February 17.

AAMI’s Executive Manager for South Australia CTP, Todd Finney, said

“AAMI is pleased to continue our support as Premier Partner of SANFL for both the Men and Women’s Leagues.

Supporting South Australia is really important for AAMI, whether that’s on the field, at home or on the road.

We are a big supporter of the AFL nationally, and through SANFL we can share our love for footy in a state that is just as passionate about the game as we are.

Over the past 3 years, AAMI has provided support to local footy clubs and communities by funding clubs to assist with facilities upgrades, purchase new equipment or improve player development programs.

We look forward to continuing our support of SANFL, local footy clubs and the SA community in 2023.”
