South Australia has added two players to its squad as it seeks to remain undefeated with a victory in its Game 4 clash with Victoria Country at Marvel Stadium on Sunday.
Building momentum with consecutive wins against the Allies, Victoria Metro and Western Australia in the 2025 Marsh AFL U18 National Championships, the Croweaters have included defender Blake Thredgold and midfielder Archie Van Dyk to a six-player extended interchange bench which will be trimmed before the bounce at 10.30am.
South Adelaide bottom-ager Archie Van Dyk has again been listed after previously acting as an emergency while Sturt tall defender Thredgold looms as a potential replacement for Central backman Josh Reichelt, who has been rotated.
Thredgold, who has missed the opening three matches while finalising his recovery from a broken wrist, returned successfully with the Double Blues in the SANFL U18s last Saturday, collecting nine disposals and taking four marks.
South Australia will be aiming to secure its fifth national title at U18 level, following successes in 1995, 2013, 2014 and 2018.
All matches in the 2025 Marsh U18 AFL National Championships will be live streamed via the match centre on the AFL website and AFL Live Official App.
