South Adelaide remains the only undefeated team in the Hostplus SANFLW League after defeating Central District by four goals at X Convenience Oval.

The Panthers’ Hope Taylor was the lone goal scorer in the first term with the visitors taking a slight seven-point lead into the first break.

Melissa Anderson found the goals in the second quarter for South, before the Doggies’ Shelby Smith continued her stunning return to the Hostplus SANFLW League, kicking a running goal to get the home side on the board late in the second quarter.

There was some wayward kicking in the third term from the Panthers before Emily Brockhurst took a strong grab and converted truly to steady the ship heading into the final quarter.

Taylor kicked back-to-back goals in the fourth quarter to make it three for the game, solidifying South’s win and continuing its premiership defence as the Panthers look to make it three flags in-a-row in 2026.

Former Eagle Olivia Evans made a strong start as a Panther on Saturday afternoon, notching up 16 disposals, five marks, and eight tackles, with Layla Vizgaudis (25 disposals, four tackles, four clearances), Holly Ifould (22 disposals, six marks, four inside 50s), and Caitlin Couch (six marks) among the best for South on the day.

Tashayla Corfield had a day out in the ruck for the Dogs, amassing 30 hit outs and six tackles, as Dakota Williams (18 disposals, six tackles, five clearances), Olivia Leslie (15 disposals, six marks), and Holly Tralaggan (19 disposals, seven clearances, five inside 50s) all performed well in a disappointing loss for Central.

Sturt notched up its first win under new coach Ange Foley defeating Glenelg by 16 points at Thomas Farms Oval.

Georgia King got the Double Blues off to a flying start, kicking the first major of the day, before prized Glenelg recruit Kiana Lee responded accordingly after taking a strong grab, with the Tigers heading into the first break three points up.

It was all Sturt in the second quarter, the home side kicking three goals via Summer Ross, King and Ruby Cunningham, taking a 14-point lead into the main break.

The Double Blues picked up where they left off in the third term, with goals from Edwina Thornquest and Madeline Nuss, before Lee breathed some life into the game for the Tigers, kicking her second of four goals, which was backed up by NSW recruit Isla Wiecke and Astrid Gooley, but the momentum was short lived as King kicked her third late in the quarter.

King and Nuss combined for two goals in the final quarter for Sturt, as Lee kicked back-to-back goals for the Tigers to reduce the final margin back to 14 points.

Georgia Swan (19 disposals, six tackles, seven inside 50s, five clearances), King (four goals, six tackles), Isobel Kuiper (22 disposals, six tackles, seven clearances) and Mille McCarthy (29 hit outs, seven tackles) were all excellent for the Double Blues in a strong win for last year’s preliminary finalists.

Norwood held off a gallant North Adelaide to win by two points at Revo Fitness Oval.

There were goals galore in the first term as the Redlegs kicked three unanswered goals from Ashley Baker, Amy Gaedtke and Steph Simmonds, before the Roosters slotted three in-a-row from Polly Turner, Caitlin Hardin and Laura Niejalke, both sides going into the first break with scores locked at 19 points.

Coby Morgan got things underway for Norwood, kicking a brilliant goal from the left pocket, as Simmonds followed suit shortly after with her second major to give the visitors a 13-point lead at the main break.

Norwood’s Nicola Burns was the lone goal scorer in the third term, getting herself on the receiving end of a handball from Simmonds before chipping it through from the goal square to extend the Redlegs’ lead out to 19 points heading into the final term.

North were seemingly not going down without a fight though, with Sasha Hardin kicking the Roosters’ first goal since the 14-minute mark of the first term, which was quickly followed up by Zara Molloy to bring the margin back to seven points early in the final quarter.

Redlegs’ Emma Clark got one back for her side to steady the visitors, but Molloy found the goals again for the Roosters to kick her second, as Teagan Robins ran into an open goal to level the scores with six minutes to go.

Missed shots on goal late in the quarter to Norwood’s Elle Lineage and Charlee Brooksby ultimately got the Redlegs over the line by two points.

Norwood captain Jade Halfpenny had a huge game with 23 disposals, 11 tackles and seven clearances, as Lani Cocks (20 disposals, seven tackles, four clearances), Morgan (18 disposals, seven tackles), and Baker (four marks) proved to be the difference in a tight contest out at Prospect.

The Roosters will now look to their clash with the unbeaten South Adelaide at The Parade this Saturday, with the Redlegs hosting Glenelg later that day.

Woodville-West Torrens demolished West Adelaide by 83 points at Richmond Oval.

Jiarna Zerella kicked the first of the Eagles’ 13 goals, before Klaudia O’Neill got her haul of six started, taking a strong grab and kicking truly to give the visitors a two-goal lead at quarter time.

The Bloods struggled to contain the onslaught of inside 50s from the Eagles, recording 44 to West’s 24, with Leah Cutting and O’Neill finding the goals in the second term as they headed into the main break 28 points up.

O’Neill got things going again for the Eagles, kicking her third and fourth, as Ruby Matthews, Marlie Fiegert, Marie Martino and Cheryllee Waters joined in on the fun to extend the lead out to 61 points at the penultimate break.

Eagles’ midfielder Alice Tentye kicked her side’s 11th goal of the game, getting on the end of a kick from O’Neill and going back to continue the carnage, before O’Neill kicked her fifth and six goals, with Westies going goalless for the game.

O’Neill was superb for the Eagles with six goals, 11 marks (five contested), and 15 disposals, along with Tahlita Buethke (27 disposals, nine marks, five inside 50s), Tentye (23 disposals, five marks, eight tackles) and Marie Martino (16 disposals, 10 marks) among some of the best in a dominate team performance.
