A pulsating finale to the 2024 Hostplus SANFL League minor round awaits, with all five Round 19 matches set to be played at 2.10pm on Saturday August 24.
With the AFL’s Round 24 fixture for the same weekend now confirmed, SANFL will provide all teams with an even break before the finals series begins on Sunday September 1 at Adelaide Oval.
Major round contenders Woodville-West Torrens and North Adelaide will host matches as they clamber for fifth spot, with Adelaide also hanging in the race which could see the Crows requiring an upset victory against Sturt at Thomas Farms Oval.
Aside from learning the highly-anticipated final five placings, SANFL fans should also get to experience an exciting conclusion to the race for the Ken Farmer Medal, awarded to the competition’s leading goal kicker at the end of the minor round.
Only four goals separate current leader Mitch Harvey (North Adelaide) and third-placed Liam McBean (Glenelg) while Central District’s Aiden Grace is also firmly in the running as he finds himself sandwiched in between the experienced pair.
Grace’s Bulldogs and Port Adelaide will square off at X Convenience Oval, with the contest to be a significant celebration of SANFL’s past and present multicultural players.
The Double Blues and Crows clash will be broadcast live and free on Seven and 7plus.
