West Adelaide consolidated its position in the SANFL U16s top four with a narrow five-point victory over a fast-finishing Norwood at Hisense Stadium.

The Redlegs had a three-goal advantage at quarter time, but West rallied and led by as many as 29 points early in the final term.

Norwood mounted a spirited fightback, kicking four goals in a row to challenge the Bloods, but the home side held on to secure the points.

Calvin Jones was outstanding for West, finishing with 32 disposals, 14 marks and three goals, including an important steadier late in the final term.

Glenelg remain fourth on the ladder after it defeated Woodville-West Torrens by 53 points at Stratarama Stadium.

The Tigers’ work-rate was on show as they took 51 more marks than the Eagles and won the inside-50 battle by 33.

The statisticians were kept busy by Glenelg’s Ryder Lindner (36 disposals, 13 marks and two goals) and Ryan Lucas (33 disposals, three goals and 15 marks) as the duo ran riot.

Bayden Fenech stood tall for the Eagles by collecting 32 disposals and a massive 21 rebound-50s.

Central District put an end to North Adelaide’s nine-game winning streak, defeating the Roosters by 37 points at X Convenience Oval.

North hit the front early in the second term, but the ladder-leading Bulldogs responded by booting ten of the last 12 goals to storm home.

Brayden Whimpress starred for Central with 17 disposals, four contested marks and four goals and Billy Nicholls kicked three goals from 19 disposals.

Midfielders Blake Amos (35 disposals and seven clearances) and Archie Bennett (30 disposals and six clearances) were prolific for the Roosters.

 

A five-goal haul from Zemes Pilot helped South Adelaide cruise to a 92-point victory over Sturt at Magain Stadium.

The Panthers were dominant from the get-go and finished with 106 more disposals and 26 more inside-50s than the Double Blues in a complete performance.

Skipper Hudson Boal led from the front with 31 disposals, 15 clearances and a goal and Pilot booted his five goals from 26 disposals and nine inside-50s as the Panthers put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Classy Sturt midfielder Taj Garrett gathered 27 disposals and 12 marks, while Cooper Clayfield was the Double Blues’ only goal-kicker with two.
