Glenelg dictated the terms and the tempo as it cruised to a 50-point win against West Adelaide at Hisense Stadium.

Leading comfortably at each change, the Tigers had far too much midfield power – coupled with star pair Lachie Hosie and Liam McBean booting 10 goals between them – for the Bloods to cope with.

The visitors had just three more inside 50 entries while also losing the hit outs and clearances but did as they pleased with ball in hand as they accumulated 141 marks to West’s 69.

It allowed the Bays to be efficient with the majority of their attacking forays en route to banking their ninth win of the season whilst maintaining second spot on the ladder.

Magarey Medallist Luke Partington starred with a match-high 31 disposals, eight marks and five clearances while Jarryd Lyons (28 disposals, seven clearances) and Matt Allen (23 disposals) were also prominent for Glenelg.

Tigers wing Cole Gerloff found more of the Sherrin than usual with 26 touches while backline trio Jonty Scharenberg (27 disposals), Nick Stevens (23 disposals) and Max Proud (22 disposals) took 29 marks between them.

Hosie booted 6.2 from 15 disposals and 11 marks while McBean kicked 4.1 from seven kicks and two marks.

Former Tiger Brady Searle had a team-high 23 disposals for Westies, while Kobe Ryan (20 disposals, nine clearances and eight tackles) worked hard for the hosts.

Cade Kennedy showed plenty of promise for Westies with 14 disposals and two nice goals, to be his team’s only multiple goal kicker.

Surging Sturt continues to show off its eye-catching potency as it romped to a 115-point victory against North Adelaide at Thomas Farms Oval.

Banking their 12th win in succession to start the season, the Double Blues officially eclipsed Port Adelaide’s record of 24 consecutive triumphs between 1913 and 1915 to now extend their streak to 25.

But after previously being lumbered with the tag of being a defence-heavy outfit, Marty Mattner’s charges are changing that perception in 2025 with another powerful display of scoreboard pressure.

Banging on a total of 25.13 (163), Sturt kicked its highest score of the season as 11 goal kickers registered their names on the scoring list.

Still without the likes of captain James Battersby and star recruit Mitch Crowden – both out with long-term knee injuries – Sturt piled on a staggering 15 goals in the second half after holding the Roosters goalless in the second quarter to crack the contest open.

Magarey Medallist Will Snelling was also sidelined by a knock to his knee but that didn’t matter as smiles filled the Blues’ coaching box in the final term.

There was even the opportunity to throw regular full back Luke Edmonds into attack to kick his first goal after 117 appearances.

But his set shot from a tight angle in the south eastern pocket narrowly missed.

Sturt midfielder Tom Lewis was again a fitting X Golf Player of the Day with 33 disposals, 12 clearances and nine tackles while Angus Anderson (26 disposals, five clearances) and Jared Dakin (23 disposals, six clearances) played strong support acts.

Tom Emmett led the scoring with 5.1 from 16 disposals and eight marks while Sam Conforti, Oliver Grivell and Luca Slade each kicked three majors for the hosts.

North’s Harrison Magor (25 disposals, seven marks) and Angus Schumacher (21 disposals) found their share of the Sherrin while Frank Szekely kicked three of his team’s seven goals.

Central District slammed through 10 goals in succession to respond to South Adelaide’s challenge with a 28-point win at Magain Stadium.

Coming off a spirited victory against Port Adelaide in Round 11, the Panthers continued on with their momentum to lead the Bulldogs by 16 points at the first change.

But after co-captain Sam Skinner kicked truly on the verge of quarter-time, the hosts were unable to kick another major until Tom Barrett booted his first Hostplus SANFL League goal in the 20th minute of the third quarter.

It was a critical period of the contest as the Bulldogs transformed their three-goal deficit into a six-goal advantage before Barrett’s much-needed six-pointer.

The Bulldogs received very even contributions from midfielders Leyton Chisholm (22 disposals, seven clearances), Kai Pudney (22 disposals, seven clearances) and Wilson Barry (20 disposals, one goal) while Rhett Montgomerie was composed in defence with 19 disposals and 11 marks.

Versatile Jack Callinan is developing nicely at League level with 19 touches and eight marks while George Kendall was solid in the backline with 16 disposals and eight marks.

Central had Kade Dittmar, Aiden Grace, Anzac Lochowiak, Jack Tomkinson and Finn Reed kick two goals each, the latter booting a pearler from tight on the boundary line to seal the deal in the 16th minute of the final term.

Despite the loss there were plenty of positives for the Panthers again, winning the inside 50 and clearance counts as they took it up to the finals-bound Bulldogs.

South’s Oliver Davis was tireless in his efforts with 34 disposals and 10 clearances while Elliot Dunkin racked up 32 disposals as Angus Bradley again showed promise with 24 disposals and four clearances.

Panther defender Oscar Clavarino tallied 20 disposals and 11 marks while South ruck Olivier Northam battled hard for his 19 disposals, nine clearances and a goal.

Skipper Skinner was his team’s only multiple goal kicker with two.
