Ferres showed off his clean hands with nine marks to go with his 18 disposals and 7.4 in a dominant display at Unley Oval.

Double Blues teammates Jake Aish (27 disposals) and Brad Jefferies (22 disposals) also had a positive influence for the hosts.

South Adelaide held on for a nail-biting nine-point win in its see-sawing battle against Norwood at The Parade.

In a match where the game-high lead was only 13 points – to the Panthers late in the second term – it was the hosts who showed poise in the final term.

South’s Angus Bradley was tremendous with his 36 disposals, nine marks, 10 tackles and eight clearances while teammate Isaac Birt collected 24 disposals, 11 marks and two goals.

Norwood’s Cooper Murley showed off his class with 34 touches, seven clearances and two goalswhile Connor Kent laid 14 tackles along with his 28 possessions for the Legs.

West Adelaide and Woodville-West Torrens’ clash for the Jake Watson Shield ended in a heart-stopping draw at Hisense Stadium.

Eagle Jordan Lukac gave his side a 14-point lead when he booted his third goal in the 18th minute of the final term.

But after two desperate smothers from the Eagles, West’s Jed Obst marked an errant defensive kick before tying up the scores for the Bloods in the 25th minute.

Dustin Launer led the way for the visitors with 33 disposals and a goal while West’s Jesse Thackeray racked up 27 possessions and 11 clearances.

Glenelg broke free of North Adelaide during the second term of its 22-point victory at Prospect Oval.

Trailing by two points at the first change, the Tigers booted 5.3 to the Roosters’ 2.1 to earn an 18-point lead at half-time.

From there, the Bays were never seriously challenged as Jacob Owens chalked up 35 disposals and Harry McInnes kicked five goals.

North’s Hugh Jackson tallied 28 disposals and a goal while William Dowling contributed three goals for the hosts.
