Norwood will have at least five new faces to confront Port at The Parade.

Impressive young Tasmanian forward Jackson Callow will start at full forward while former Redleg junior Jacob Kennerley will use his running power through the midfield.

Fos Williams Medallist Michael Knoll will lead the ruck while star veteran Paul Puopolo plays his first league game since the 2010 Grand Final out of a forward pocket.

PORT

Port Adelaide will have several League debutants for its return to SANFL action against Norwood on Thursday night.

Father-son Taj Schofield and Victorian draftee Ollie Lord will be among those playing their first game at SANFL League level.

Key forward Luke Surman is poised to confront his old teammates after departing The Parade for Alberton during summer.

Several AFL-listed players will be sent back to the Magpies squad before the bounce on Thursday evening.

SOUTH

South has injected a blend of youth and experience to play against Adelaide.

Former Crow Bryce Gibbs will play against his former teammates inside the centre square while journeyman spearhead Daniel Nobes (26, 200cm and 114kg) will make his SANFL debut after playing with Christies Beach and Waikerie.

Forward Jake Tarca returns to Noarlunga after a stint on Geelong’s list while tall forward Sam Skinner has been named at centre half-forward after his AFL career with Brisbane was hampered by knee injuries.

Kangaroo Island bigman Damon Freitag will play his first League game when he leads the ruck.

Tall utility Alex Cailotto will play his 100th League game.

Adelaide will have the services of a former Richmond midfielder, who will make his debut against South.

Former  Tiger Daniel Jackson, who played 156 AFL matches, will line-up with the Crows’ SANFL side in his role as Leadership Development Manager.

The 34-year-old has been named to start in the forward pocket while No.2 draft pick Riley Thilthorpe is listed on a wing.

Captain Matthew Wright is on the other wing while former GWS and Central District midfielder Jackson Hately starts in the centre.

Central fans will get their first look at forward line recruits Aiden Grace and Tom Graham against North.

The pair have been named across half-forward with the Bulldogs, with another three players potentially to debut against the Roosters.

Former Glenelg defender Dylan Morton will play as a key backman while hard-running midfielder Harry Grant is expected to find plenty of the ball when he’s injected into the game.

Local product Rhys Cannizzaro (19, 188cm and 90kg) could also make his debut after progressing through the ranks at Nuriootpa.

A new-look Woodville-West Torrens outfit will begin its premiership defence against Sturt.

With at least five premiership players needing to be replaced, the Eagles have added the Menzel brothers with Troy starting on a wing and Daniel deep in attack.

Former Crow Riley Knight will start in the centre square alongside big-bodied Essendon signing Kobe Mutch.

Mitchell Mead, who won the Bob Lee Medal as best afield in last year’s Reserves Grand Final, will make his League debut for the Eagles after playing in 14 League games for Port Adelaide.

The former Crow hurt his shoulder in the trial match against Central last Friday night but appears set to play for the Double Blues for the first time since the 2016 Grand Final.
