Four Croweaters in 2024 U18 Girls All-Australian Team

South Australia has had four players rewarded for outstanding campaigns after being selected in the 2024 All-Australian U18 Girls line-up.

Placing second with two wins and a loss for the carnival, the Croweaters had two players named in defence and two in attack, including SA MVP Esther Schirmer at full back.

Polished key defender Schirmer was joined in the back half by Eagle Grace Martin, who was selected on the half-back flank.

Joint vice-captain India Rasheed was recognised on the half-forward flank while Eloise Mackereth, who also finished fourth in the voting for the overall best-and-fairest winner, was listed in a forward pocket.

The All-Australian voting panel included AFL Talent Ambassador Kevin Sheehan (chair), Paul Hamilton (AFL National Talent Development & Competitions Manager), Tarkyn Lockyer (Marsh AFL National Academy Manager), Jess Smith (AFL National Female Talent Manager) and AFLW club recruiters Matthew Burton (Carlton), Ed Clark (Collingwood), Katrina Gill (Adelaide), Joseph Molluso (Essendon) and Michael Swann (Brisbane Lions).

Glenelg’s Eloise Mackereth was selected in the forward pocket of the U18 Girls All-Australian team.

SA U18 MVP Esther Schirmer also earned selection at full back in the U18 All-Australian team.
