Croweaters primed for 2025 Telstra AFL Draft Combines

Fourteen SANFL players will put their best foot forward at the 2025 Telstra AFL Draft Combine in Melbourne from Friday October 3 to Sunday October 5.

The Croweaters’ contingent will undergo medical screenings and interviews at the MCG across the opening two days before completing a series of physical tests on the final day at the State Netball and Hockey Centre.

Physical testing will include the vertical jump, running vertical jump, 20-metre sprint, agility test and 2km time trial.

All seven of SA’s U18 All-Australians – including SA captain Dyson Sharp and vice-captain Sam Cumming – have received an invite to attend.

Eagles forward/midfielder Jevan Phillipou – who missed the AFL National Championships due to a broken wrist – has also received a call up to test across the border.

Six SANFL players have been invited to the State AFL Draft Combine, which will be held in Adelaide on Saturday October 11.

They include four SA U18 defenders Elliott Duffield, Jett Dahlitz, Balyn O’Brien and Bryce Sanders, together with Norwood midfielder Jim Kelly.

Elusive Glenelg goalsneak Latrelle-Sumner Pickett, who has booted 23 goals in 14 Reserves games this season, is the only mature-age selection at age 19.

More players are likely to be added to the State Combine list, which will be announced in August.
