From living in Nepal to avoiding three-corner jacks on his first footy field, Central District’s Jez McLennan has a fascinating story to tell on the latest edition of Checkside Chats.

The well-spoken defender has hit the ground running this season to be one of the inform backmen in the Hostplus SANFL League, reading the play with ease for the Bulldogs across half-back.

A former Gold Coast Sun, McLennan claimed the Fos Williams Medal against the VFL in April and is in the unique position to win it again when he tackles the WAFL in the KIA State Game in Perth on Sunday.

Tune in to hear from the 23-year-old, who also chats about his hunger to have another crack at AFL level while hinting there has been some interest ahead of this month’s AFL Mid-Season Draft.
