Central District will continue its pursuit of an inaugural SANFLW finals berth under new coach Ben Hunt in 2022.

Having built an extensive coaching resume with Payneham across the past decade, the new Bulldogs mentor has been impressed with the dedication and enthusiasm at Elizabeth.

Speaking on SANFL Radio, Hunt said he would take in key learnings from Norwood premiership greats Garry McIntosh and Jace Bode, who he worked with while at the Falcons.

The Bulldogs will have the benefit of a stable playing list as former North Adelaide player Alex Fitridge joins the club along with ruck Natalia Aesu, who has been brought across by Hunt from Payneham.

Highly-skilled Georgia McKee and Charlotte Riggs are also expected to make the step up into senior ranks this year from Central’s junior grades while Angle Vale’s Jessica Walker-Smith is another to keep an eye on.

Madison Kalleske is one of three Bulldogs to hang up the boots alongside Shari Chambers and Renai Richardson while key forward Katelyn Rosenzweig will unfortunately miss the entire season due to a knee reconstruction.

One of the best focal points in the competition, Rosenzweig will still make her presence felt at the club by acting as an assistant coach for the forward line.
