Berri has been crowned 2021 Riverland Football League premiers after winning a hotly-contested Women’s Grand Final by one-point against Waikerie at Berri Oval.

Boasting home ground advantage, the Demons were forced to battled hard to hold off the determined Magpies, with Berri finishing with 3.2 (20) to Waikerie’s 3.1 (19).

The victory was a fitting reward for Berri’s League leading goal kicker Stacey Geyer, but the result prevented a fairytale ending for League best and fairest winner Sarah Campbell, from Waikerie.

Barmera-Monash’s Kayla Mudge had her exceptional season recognised after finishing runner-up in the League best and fairest count.
