In a first for SANFL, a dance spectacular will headline the pre-match on field entertainment and Festival of Footy at this year’s Hostplus SANFL League Grand Final.
Adelaide Oval will be transformed into a carnival atmosphere on Sunday, September 21, with SANFL and its partners providing free activities, entertainment and giveaways in various activation zones, from moment fans arrive until well after the final siren.
The stage is also set for SANFL’s most electrifying pre-game entertainment yet, with this year’s Grand Final to feature a 15-minute stadium spectacle designed and directed by Mike Snell Entertainment, one of the leading Australian entertainment companies.
The performance will bring together more than 50 dancers from Impact Entertainment and Next Level All Stars cheerleaders, together with a backdrop of giant colourful ‘winged performers’ from ACPA Academy and pyro technics display as a stunning introduction to the official Kia Cup Entry.
“We are super excited to be coming to SANFL Grand Final day – this performance is about delivering South Australia with an event that feels as though the entire world is watching,” said Mike Snell, Founder and Creative Director of Mike Snell Entertainment.
“We’re flooding Adelaide Oval with artistry, power and scale, proving that Australian entertainment can be up there on the international stage.”
Snell, who has performed in numerous successful musicals including The Boy From Oz, Wicked, Hairspray, Legally Blonde, Aladdin, Strictly Ballroom and We Will Rock You, will also be performing the National Anthem pre-match.
The Melbourne-based performer has also worked alongside Hugh Jackman, Baz Luhrmann, Kylie Minogue and Guy Sebastian.
Snell will also make a guest appearance earlier in the day as entertainment at the Official Grand Final Luncheon in the William Magarey Room.

SANFL Executive General Manager Football Matt Duldig said the League was thrilled to stage the dance spectacular and create an unforgettable experience for spectators of all ages at this year’s Grand Final.
“Together with our corporate partners, we are thrilled to celebrate the biggest day of the footy season with the 2025 SANFL Festival of Footy,” Mr Duldig said.
“This year’s pre-match Grand Final entertainment also will be a must-see showcase of South Australian performing arts talent.
“Adelaide Oval is set to come alive with football and entertainment on Grand Final day, and with plenty of action happening in and around the ground, I encourage all footy fans to arrive early and make a day of it.”
Grand Final day will also honour the 2025 SANFL retirees in the Hostplus Retiring Player Presentation at 1:25pm.
The day is also a chance to celebrate all SANFL Juniors premiership teams and the 2025 SANFL under-age State teams who will take part in the Parade of Champions at half-time of the Hostplus SANFL League Grand Final.
The Grand Final fun also continues after the final siren with the return of the ‘Play On’ Afterparty, presented by The Advertiser, in the William Magarey Room*.
This year’s Afterparty will feature Adelaide DJ sensation “DJ Checkers” from 6pm to 8pm, with the social media star spinning tunes on the deck.
Grand Final Tickets are on sale via Ticketek, with FREE entry all under-18s.
Free public transport is available all day on regular Adelaide Metro services to the SANFL Grand Final with your matchday ticket. Adelaide Oval Express bus and train services will operate after the match, up to 45 minutes from the final siren.
