South Australia has named its squads for the 2025 AFL Open, which will be held in Melbourne in October.

A squad of eight has been named for the Wheelchair State Team, and a squad of 16 has been named for the APM Inclusive State Team.

The wheelchair team features players from all four SANFL Wheelchair teams, including three players from Woodville-West Torrens who won the 2025 Novita SANFL Wheelchair League Grand Final.

Central District and Norwood have two players each in the squad, with West Adelaide (one) rounding out the final four players in the team, coached by West’s Giang Danh.

Players in the APM Inclusive State Squad have been selected from the eight teams in the APM SANFL Inclusive League, with Woodville-West Torrens’ SANFLW captain Annie Falkenberg named as coach.

She will be joined at the helm by Eagles’ CEO Dave Couzner, with Eagles’ Channy Mitchell, and Todd O’Connor rounding out the coaching staff.

Both teams will head to the AFL Open in Melbourne and will compete from October 27 to 30.
