South Australia’s exciting mature-age talent will have its opportunity to shine when the SA U20 team tackles the SA U18 team at Norwood Oval on Saturday May 17.

Selectors have released a 29-player squad which features Hostplus SANFL League regulars Phoenix Hargrave (South Adelaide), Will Patton (West Adelaide) and Kade Herbert (Woodville-West Torrens).

Emerging players such as Glenelg tall Harry Ramm, Redleg Jacob Newton and Eagle Jett Hasting have also had their noteworthy starts to the League season rewarded with selection.

Each SANFL club has a player in the initial list, with Adelaide (Ned Atkinson) and Port Adelaide (Rome Burgoyne) also represented.

Players will gather for recovery sessions across the next two Sundays – May 4 and 11 – before training on Wednesday May 14 at Adelaide University Oval No.2.

An equally important fixture for the SA U18 team, the annual State Youth Match between the SA U20 team and SA U18s will be screened exclusively via The Advertiser’s Kommunity TV platform.
