Star Signing - Jed Hagan

Port Adelaide didn’t hesitate to pounce on undrafted small forward Jed Hagan.

The highly-rated West Australian was surprisingly overlooked in the 2022 AFL Draft, paving the way for the 19-year-old to land at Alberton as he chases his AFL dream.

Measuring in at 175cm and 73kg, the speedy small forward has been training regularly with Port’s AFL squad as he primes himself to make a mark in the SANFL this season.

”We jumped at the opportunity to get him to come across,” Goldsack said of Hagan, who played eight WAFL League matches for East Fremantle last year.

”He’s learned a lot while developing certain parts of his game which he should take to the next level.

”He’s a small, lively forward who is pretty good in front of goal. Given our AFL list and the size of some of our forward, he will be very handy for us to put some pressure on in the forward line and hopefully he can bob up and kick a couple of snaps.”

Powerade Breakthrough Player Candidate - Aidan Turner

Watch out for Aidan Turner in 2023.

The emerging SANFL-contracted Magpie looms as a boost to new coach Tyson Goldsack’s midfield mix this season after enjoying a strong summer campaign.

Recruited from Moonta FC on the Yorke Peninsula, the 20-year-old could certainly make his presence felt in the centre square given he measures in at 184cm and 86kg.

”I’m pretty keen to see how Aidan Turner goes this year,” Goldsack said.

”He’s a really hard, inside type of player. He’s worked on his fitness this summer to allow him to spread over the ground and get some ball on the outside.

”This year he might get a few more opportunities so he’s one to watch.”
