Do you know a local hero who has gone above and beyond for their community football club?
Now is the time to put their name forward, with entries for nominations closing this Sunday, July 30 for the 2022 Hostplus Volunteer of the Year Award.
Now in its sixth year, the SANFL Hostplus Volunteer of the Year Award aims to highlight those individuals who have provided notable voluntary service to community football in South Australia.
As has become tradition, this year’s winner will receive the David Shipway AM Medal and the title of SANFL Hostplus Volunteer of the Year.
The 2022 SANFL Hostplus Volunteer of the Year will be presented at the annual SANFL Community Volunteers Dinner at Adelaide Oval later this year.
In recognition of their outstanding efforts, the SANFL Hostplus Volunteer of the Year winner also receives the following prizes:
In addition, the winner will automatically be entered in the National Good for Footy AFL Community Volunteer of the Year award as South Australia’s nominee. If selected as the national winner, they will receive a 2022 AFL Grand Final experience for two people.
If you know a deserving volunteer at either your SANFL or grassroots community club, or an administrator of a local league, nominate them now.
