Port Lincoln Football League – Girls Come n Try

SANFL and the Port Lincoln Football League are excited to announce the introduction of an under-12 Girls Australian Football skill development and competition in Port Lincoln. On the afternoon of -Friday 1st of December all girls turning 8-12 in 2024 are invited to a ‘come-and-try’ and information session to be held at Centenary Oval at 5pm where the girls will get a chance to train, practice some skills and play a short game of football. After the session parents and participants will have an opportunity to ask questions about the upcoming competition.

Starting in February 2024 Girls turning 8-12 from Port Lincoln and Lower Eyre Peninsula are invited to join in and start or continue their love of Australian Football. This exciting new format is a fully subsidised six-week program that will involve training and skill development combined with a game (non club-based) each week and will allow girls of all skill levels to get involved and learn more about playing Australian Football. All participants will receive a pack including a SANFL bag, water bottle, football and a participant training shirt.
