He’s the late bloomer who is steadily rising up the ranks with most AFL scouts recognising Will Day has plenty of upside. Likened to Geelong premiership defender Andrew Mackie, the cousin of Gold Coast Suns tall Sam Day reads the play well off half-back while also having neat foot skills on his left and right foot. His long arms allow him to get in a timely spoil while also having the ability to take an eye-catching mark. Not afraid to baulk around his opponent if given the chance. Played all four games at the AFL National Championships in a composed defensive role.
