Originally from South Sudan, Frederick is the twin brother of Power-listed rookie Martin Frederick. Michael Frederick earned a late call up to the State AFL Combine, chiefly on the back of an exceptional display in the U18 Torrens University Cup Grand Final in which he collected 20 disposals and a goal en route to earning the Alan Stewart Medal as best afield. Incredibly athletic, Frederick loves to run and carry the ball through the middle. Also loves a goal, evidenced by him booting 29 from 18 U18 games in 2019.
