SANFL is pleased to announce an exciting new partnership with Bendigo Bank, supporting grassroots football and the outstanding volunteers who are the heartbeat of community footy clubs and leagues across South Australia.

Under the significant multi-year partnership, Bendigo Bank becomes SANFL’s official banking partner and also naming rights partner of the SANFL Volunteer of the Year Award from 2026.

For the past nine years, the Bendigo Bank SANFL Volunteer of the Year Award has highlighted individuals who have provided exceptional voluntary service to community football in South Australia.

Bendigo Bank has a longstanding banking relationship with the SANFL, supporting the League for more than a decade to help it grow football participation to a record level of more than 70,000 registered participants in 2025, and strengthen football in communities across the State.

SANFL Chief Executive Officer Darren Chandler said the SANFL was thrilled to have such a respected and trusted national brand as Bendigo Bank support the incredible contribution of volunteers in community footy.

“Bendigo Bank has been by our side for a number of years and to now have them support the Bendigo Bank SANFL Volunteer of the Year Award is a tremendous show of support for community footy in our State,” Mr Chandler said.

“The partnership also represents a shared commitment to making a positive impact to local communities through footy.”

Bendigo Bank General Manager of Business Banking Andrew Eastwood said partnering with a South Australian institution that celebrates grassroots sport and dedicated volunteers was a natural fit for Bendigo Bank.

“For over 160 years, Bendigo Bank has been committed to supporting the communities in which we live and work,” Mr Eastwood said.

“Partnering with the SANFL, an institution that is woven into the fabric of South Australian life, is a natural fit for us. Football clubs are vital community hubs, and we are excited to partner with the SANFL to help them continue to grow and to support the dedicated volunteers that make it all happen.”
