Gather Round Schools Competition
The 2026 Gather Round Schools Competition is an expanded five-week competition designed for new and returning participants to be involved in football with a focus on fun, development, and community engagement. There are nine venues spread across the metropolitan area, with one venue in the Adelaide Hills. All teams and participants will enjoy an exclusive Gather Round Experience to celebrate their involvement.
Inclusions:
- Enter a draw for a footy clinic delivered by Adelaide Football Club or Port Adelaide Football Club at your school.
- All teams experience a pregame playing experience, half time experience, or carnival with AFL Players.
- All Schools receive an equipment pack.
- Each participant will receive a Gather Round branded football.
- Random draw for money can’t buy experiences for players and volunteers (Guard of Honour, Boundary Walk, Post Game Change Rooms experience).
Competition Details:
Year Levels: Year 3/4 and Year 5/6
Format: 9-a-side (minimum of 6 players per team) | Male and Female Competitions
Times: 4:00pm – 6:00pm (Venues and times may be adjusted based on team nominations to ensure a high-quality experience for all)
Pricing: $50 Individual Fee (Free with ORSR Sports Voucher) OR $300 Team Fee

- Monday: Kenilworth FC, Park 12 (University Oval), Ridley Reserve, Summit Sport & Recreation Park, West Beach Playing Fields, Wirreanda Secondary School
- Wednesday: Ocean View College, Pennington Reserve, Bulkana Oval
