SA’s Alexander Kouts is the 2024 NAB AFL Auskicker of the Year

SANFL is celebrating the selection of Alexander Kouts as the 2024 NAB AFL Auskicker of the Year.

An enthusiastic participant at SANFL’s Wheelchair NAB AFL Auskick Centre, Alexander is now preparing to participate in the Grand Final Parade, whilst also attending the 2024 Toyota AFL Grand Final where he will have the opportunity to present a medal to a premiership player.

Seven Network’s broadcast unveiled Team NAB AFL Auskick recruits throughout the 2024 Toyota AFL Premiership Season, with Alexander being announced during Round 12 at the Collingwood and Western Bulldogs game.

NAB then selected 12 committed Auskickers to join the 2024 NAB Auskick Team, who stood out for their enthusiasm, teamwork and passion towards the Auskick program.

Alex is the fifteenth Auskicker to be named NAB AFL Auskicker of the Year. He will receive $5,000 thanks to NAB, plus have an AFL and AFLW player as his personal footy mentors in 2025.

Team NAB AFL Auskick coaches for 2024, AFL and AFLW stars, Nick Daicos and Katie Brennan, made a surprise visit to the MCC Sports Museum to present Alexander with his award and announce him as the 2024 NAB AFL Auskicker of the Year.

A budding commentator who has already made his debut on SANFL Now calling matches from the Novita SANFL Wheelchair League, Alexander is a passionate Crows fan who has displayed a great team attitude while participating in Auskick training sessions.

”In Auskick, I really try to help new people learn the skills of wheelchair footy,” Alexander said.
