The countdown is on for the 2024 Hostplus SANFL League Finals Series, kicking off this Sunday, September 1.

The first week of Finals, a double header with the Elimination and Qualifying finals, coincides with Father’s Day, with dads treated to a two-for-one adult entry ticket offer and the chance to win prize giveaways with on-field competitions throughout the afternoon.

SANFL Chief Executive Officer Darren Chandler said another close conclusion to the minor round season has set the scene for what should be a blockbuster finals campaign.

“After such a tight conclusion to the home and away season and only percentage separating Norwood and Sturt at the top of the ladder, it’s shaping up to be one of the most anticipated finals series in recent years,” Mr Chandler said.

“It’s certainly an exciting time for footy in South Australia right now and there is a real air of excitement around this year’s SANFL finals.

“In addition to the on-field action, we will also be creating a festival atmosphere in and around Adelaide Oval for footy goers, with a range of SANFL partner activations providing something for the whole family.”

Last year, 33,049 fans attended the Hostplus SANFL League Grand Final between Glenelg and Sturt.

All Hostplus SANFL League finals will be broadcast live and free on Seven and 7plus, live streamed on SANFL Now and the official AFL App and live radio on 1629 SEN SA and the SEN App.

The Finals Series culminates with the Grand Final and Play On After Party in the William Magarey Room, featuring Adelaide DJ The Lunar Society, after the final siren on Sunday, September 22.

During weeks 1-3 of Finals, SANFL Super Match free entertainment will include the AAMI Lucky Zone with deck chairs and a chance to win EFTPOS vouchers, Health Partners chill out deck chairs, McDonald’s giveaways, SANFL footy inflatables, Coles Mini League half-time games and giant outdoor lawn games.

To celebrate Father’s Day this Sunday, dads will have the chance to win prizes in the following on-field contests:

  • ‘Closest the pin’ golfing contest at three-quarter time of the Elimination Final, with three lucky dads having the chance to win a $300 voucher for X Golf West Lakes.
  • Fleurieu Milk ‘kick to win’ at three-quarter time of the Qualifying Final for two dads and their kids, with a $100 prize pack giveaway up for grabs.
  • Maccas ‘chip it in’ kicking contest at half time of both games for a chance to win $250.

Tickets for weeks 1 of the Finals Series and the Grand Final are on sale now via Ticketek.

The new Finals Series ticket bundle for $55, providing the best value access to every Finals match including the Grand Final, also is on sale now.

Tickets for the Semi Finals on September 8 and Preliminary Final on September 15 will be on sale via Ticketek the Monday prior.
