Exciting prospects India Rasheed and Sophie Eaton have been crowned South Australia’s MVPs after outstanding performances at the 2023 AFL National Girls Championships.

Rasheed, who also took home the Best Player Award for her eye-catching effort against Victoria Metro in Game 2, displayed her ability to work up higher on the field through the midfield throughout the U18 tournament.

SA U16 captain Eaton, who was the Croweaters’ strongest performer in Game 2 against Western Australia, proved her prowess as a skilful user of the ball through the midfield while also earning a spot in the SA U18 Girls team.

Croweaters’ key defender Charlotte Riggs was rewarded for her outstanding U18 campaign by earning the respect of her coaches and teammates with both the Coaches Award and Players’ Player trophy.

In the U16s, Holly Tralaggan got the nod for the Coaches Award while Lily Baxter, who made an impact at senior level with South Adelaide this year, claimed the Players’ Player Award.
