SANFL is thrilled to welcome South Australian company NeuRizer Limited as a key partner with its expanding APM SANFL Inclusive League.

The partnership, which started through NeuRizer’s initial partnership with Inclusive League member club Christies Beach FC, will support the continuing growth of inclusive football.

Now entering its fourth season under SANFL, the Inclusive League has welcomed two new clubs in 2022 – Kilburn and Tea Tree Gully – making it a seven-team competition.

The League includes foundation clubs Eastern Park, Goodwood, Kenilworth, Salisbury and Christies Beach football clubs.

More than 150 male players, aged 15 and above with an intellectual disability, are donning their boots every Saturday this year for 14 rounds plus finals, the longest season since the competition started in 1992.

Importantly, the league not only offers competitive football to inclusive teams in a safe, fun and friendly environment, but has a focus on the development of players and their social inclusion at community football clubs.’

SANFL CEO Darren Chandler said the League was thrilled to have NeuRizer supporting the competition for the 2022 season.

“We’re extremely excited about the expansion of our APM SANFL Inclusive League which is giving more players and their families an opportunity to get involved in the game of Australian footy,” Mr Chandler said.

“Our aim is about participation and social inclusion, but also to start building a real football pathway for young players with disability. The expansion of the Inclusive League is a big step forward in achieving this.”

Neurizer Managing Director Phil Staveley said the organisation was proud to support inclusive football in South Australia which was a great fit with its own company values.

“The Inclusive League was one deserving and selfless league that we knew our company would be proud to be associated with,” said Mr Staveley.

“We see this partnership with SANFL as one where the players are at the centre of what matters most to both their club and our company”.

“This partnership will allow the Inclusive League to expand and broaden the acceptance and encouragement of all players regardless of their disability.”

NeuRizer, formerly Leigh Creek Energy, is the developer of the world’s first low-cost carbon neutral fertiliser project for local and export agriculture markets.
