Glenelg’s Terry Milera has played a major role in catapulting his side back into the top five with a six-goal haul against South Adelaide at Gliderol Stadium.
The former St Kilda forward kicked one more goal than the entire Panthers outfit as he and Richmond bigman Liam McBean booted 10 between them at Brighton Road.
Speaking on SANFL Radio, Glenelg coach Matt Lokan praised the class of Milera while also singling out Josh Scott and Josh Koster for their roles in attack in helping set up a lot of the scoring opportunities.
Lokan revealed midfielder Ben Sawford got through the contest unscathed after recovering from a shoulder injury he suffered against Central in Round 11, with Riley McFarlane (shin) the only other regular Macca’s League player sidelined by injury.
McDonald’s SA Under-18 pair Darcy Fogarty and Alex Martini were both rested on the weekend after playing in the AFL National Championships, with the pair expected to return to action against Port Adelaide in Round 14 at Alberton Oval.
