South Adelaide has continued its dominance at junior women’s level after winning the 2017 U17 Statewide Super Shield Grand Final on Sunday.
After winning the Under-16 Girls premiership last year, the Panthers repeated the dose in emphatic fashion, defeating Sturt by 72 points at Peter Motley Oval.
Panthers Teah Charlton and Mykala Walker put on a show for the navy blues, kicking seven goals between them while Nikki Gore again underlined her credentials after being SA’s sole representative in last year’s AFL Women’s Academy.
The Double Blues were best served by Kiara Woodhouse, Lucy Griffith and Jessie Keech, who did their best to topple the premiership favourites.
