SOUTH SEARCH FOR FIRST WOMEN’S COACH

Published on: Jul 27 2017 | Author: Zac Milbank |

South Adelaide’s preparations for the 2018 SANFL Statewide Super Women’s competition are in full swing as the Panthers hunt for a Senior Women’s Coach.

Already granted entry to the competition for next season, the Panthers will be joined by one other SANFL club as the team numbers expand from four to six in 2018.

Speaking on SANFL Radio, South chief executive Neill Sharpe said the club was excited to build on the solid junior numbers already present in Noarlunga and the surrounding southern suburbs.

South’s Under-16 girls team won last year’s premiership in the Macca’s Talent Shield, with a senior team now completing the pathway for young females to reach the AFLW League.

The successful applicant will also have the opportunity to work with South’s Macca’s League coach Garry Hocking, who boasts coaching experience with AFL club Port Adelaide as well as playing 274 AFL games for Geelong.
