SANFL MEDIA RELEASE
One of South Australia’s longest sporting partnerships will continue with SANFL major partner West End renewing its commitment to the League for a further four years.
The new agreement, which extends until the end of 2022, will take West End’s relationship with SANFL to 65 years.
It will see West End products enjoyed at SANFL games, along with naming rights to the West End Hall of Fame and West End Men’s State Team and continuation of the traditional State League Premiers’ colours adorning the West End chimney at Thebarton.
SANFL CEO Jake Parkinson said the historic relationship, which dates back to 1954, was one of which both organisations are immensely proud, with not just the League receiving significant financial support but also SANFL Clubs.
He said the relationship was much more than a sporting sponsorship, with West End involved in supporting a wide range of events and programs across the breadth of SANFL.
The partnership extended beyond the State League to Community Football in both metropolitan and regional areas.
“West End is an important part of SANFL’s history and future and we look forward to its continued support to grow and promote footy across the State,” Mr Parkinson said.
West End Field Sales Director SA/NT Jason Baily said he was delighted to continue the proud and historic partnership between two great South Australian brands.
“In South Australia, West End and footy go hand in hand,” Mr Baily said.
“We’re proud to be right there alongside many great SANFL moments, whether it’s enjoying a West End on the hill at your local ground, or watching your team unveil their colours on the famous brewery chimney in September.”
