Selectors have included several new faces for the McDonald’s SA Under-18 Team’s clash with Victoria Country at the Adelaide Oval on Sunday.
After starting their campaign with an emphatic 89-point win against WA on June 3, the Croweaters are poised to give an opportunity to two players who have made their Macca’s League debut in the last fortnight.
South Adelaide’s Tate Coleman, who collected 12 disposals in the Panthers’ Macca’s League win against Sturt on Monday, has been named at half-back.
Norwood ruckman James Siviour – who played his first Macca’s League game against West on Saturday – is one of 11 players on the extended interchange bench, with the final squad of 23 to be finalised after training on Thursday night.
Entry to the match is free, with McDonald’s SA Under-18 coach Tony Bamford admitting his players were excited to have the opportunity to play at the home of football in South Australia.
The game will be the last in SA for the Croweaters, with the final two contests to be played in Geelong (Allies on June 29) and Melbourne (Victoria Metro on July 4).
