Esther Boles’ admirable dedication has played a major role in earning the Round 3 Powerade Breakthrough Player nomination.

The North Adelaide goalsneak was a major contributor in the Roosters’ 34-point SANFL Statewide Super Women’s League win against Sturt at City Mazda Stadium on Friday night.

Speaking on SANFL Radio, Boles revealed she moved to Adelaide from Port Augusta three years ago to pursue her football career.

The bubbly 17 -year-old – who boards at Scotch College – began her career playing for Central Augusta, regularly playing netball and football on the same day.

Aspiring to be a police officer, Boles is a cousin of former Rooster Patrick Boles, who played 15 League matches for North from 2013-2015.

Also a member of South Australia’s Under-18 Girls squad, Boles finished with 15 disposals, four tackles and two goals in the victory against the Double Blues.
