Emerging Woodville-West Torrens forward Jack Lukosius is embracing the challenge of training with AFL club Port Adelaide as he prepares for season 2018.

Widely regarded as one of the nation’s most exciting talents, Lukosius is sweating it out at Alberton this week as part of his placement with the AFL Academy.

Speaking on SANFL Radio, the 17-year-old said he was reveling in the presence of Power talls Charlie Dixon, Paddy Ryder and Justin Westhoff.

Lukosius is being joined by Central District midfielder Jackson Hately and Norwood utility Luke Valente to train under the watchful eye of Port Adelaide coach Ken Hinkley.

Across Port Road at West Lakes, star West Adelaide draft prospect Izak Rankine is working hard with the Crows as part of the AFL Academy placement.

Rankine, who made his Macca’s League debut for the Bloods in Round 19 of 2016, is being joined by North Adelaide midfielder Connor Rozee and Sturt key-position player Hugo Munn.
