Anticipation is building for the SANFL’s 140-year Anniversary Exhibition, which will be held at the State Library from June 7 until August 13.
Featuring as many as 8,000 historical items and memorabilia relating to SANFL and its clubs, the ”In a League of its Own” Exhibition is being spearheaded by SANFL History Centre Manager Chris Halbert and a bevy of volunteers.
Speaking on SANFL Radio, Mrs Halbert said the variety of items on display would be significantly wide, including footballs, photos, boots, guernseys, blazers and other small collectables.
More than 50 Magarey Medals will also be a key feature of the Exhibition, with many donated by the winners or their family members.
A series of engaging one-on-one interviews will also be screened, with well-known TV personalities Keith Conlon and Roger Wills questioning the likes of Neil Kerley, Ken Cunningham and Graham Cornes among others.
Footage from vintage SANFL matches and Grand Finals will also be available to watch for those wanting to spend significant time at the Exhibition.
Stay tuned to the SANFL website and its social media channels during the next month for a sneak peek at some of the items on display.
