North Adelaide winger Paige Allan loves nothing more than running hard into open space, which helped earn her the Round 5 Power Star Search nomination.

Blessed with exceptional pace, Allan was instrumental in the Roosters’ victory against Glenelg on Friday night as she played a major role in helping her team secure a berth in the SANFL Statewide Super Women’s League Grand Final.

Speaking on SANFL Radio, the 18-year-old said she was pleased with her performance, which included kicking two goals while also racking up 14 disposals and two marks.

And in an indication of Allan’s workrate, she also tallied three inside 50s and three rebound 50s, demonstrating she was prepared to work hard both ways.

Having completed her Year 12 studies, Allan – who measures in at 170cm and 57kg – also has a love of swimming, which she pursues in her profession as a lifeguard.
