North Adelaide’s Ashleigh Woodland has stamped herself as one to watch after dominating in the Roosters’ victory against West Adelaide on Saturday.

The Round 3 Powerade Star Search nominee, Woodland became the first player to kick four goals in a SANFL Statewide Super League match after her eye-catching display against the Bloods.

Speaking on SANFL Radio, the 18-year-old said she was relishing the opportunity to challenge herself while playing under the guidance of coach Matt Slade and training with the Crows development list.

An All-Australian U18, Woodland – who measures in at 173cm and 69kg – is a strong-marking key forward, who has recently been used in the ruck by Slade this season.

From Salisbury Football Club, Woodland played 10 years of social basketball before deciding to concentrate on football for the past three seasons.

Having recently graduated from Year 12, the teenager has applied to be a member of the South Australian Police Force.
