SANFL stars have expressed their excitement at playing in the 2017 SANFL Macca’s League next season.

Speaking atSANFL MACCA'S LEAGUE_FINAL LOGO Wednesday’s launch of the SANFL’s new naming rights partner – McDonald’s – three of the competition’s gun recruits were sporting fresh colours for the first time since signing on the dotted line.

Woodville-West Torrens’ Paul Stewart said he had little hesitation in returning to Oval Avenue after playing in the Eagles’ 2006 premiership before embarking on his 101-game AFL career with Port Adelaide.

For a fellow former Power player – Sam Colquhoun – it was his first opportunity to don the Sturt jumper after previously playing with Central District as a junior.

Norwood forward Cam Shenton is hungry to experience the ultimate success with his beloved Redlegs, having played in the losing 2010 SANFL Grand Final before spending the last five years with AFL club St Kilda.

And for South Adelaide’s Matt Rose – the Panthers’ best performer in the 2016 finals – it has been a busy off-season at Noarlunga with arrival of coach Garry Hocking and departure of Ken Farmer Medallist Brett Eddy.
