Based in the south-western suburb of Glenelg, the Tigers were admitted into the SANFL League competition in 1921. A host of star South Australians have featured in the black and gold, including Stephen Kernahan, Graham Cornes and Neil Kerley. Glenelg’s development zone includes sections of the western and southern suburbs as well as the south-east region near the Victorian border.
