Woodville-West Torrens is gearing up to host Adelaide at its annual Community Carnival Day at Maughan Thiem Hyundai Oval on Sunday.
As the Eagles seek to sew up the minor premiership against the Crows – who are still in finals contention – a bumper crowd is expected as more than 59 teams from 28 clubs participate in a SANFL Juniors Lightning Carnival from 8.55am.
Speaking on SANFL Radio, Eagles Community Carnival Co-ordinator Phil Herden said the event was tailored to boys and girls of all ages considering there will be a multitude of different activities on the day.
Proudly supported by the City of Charles Sturt, the Carnival has become a popular annual event since 2010, attracting the involvement of other sporting and community groups in the Woodville-West Torrens region.
The Macca’s League match – starting at 2.10pm – will also be broadcast on radio station 107.9 Life FM, with the commentary simulcast on SANFL’s Digital Pass coverage.
