After playing five AFL games for Melbourne in 2014, Barry was thrown a lifeline from the Bays to reignite his career in 2017. And the mature-age midfielder, voted as Glenelg Members MVP, didn’t disappoint by averaging 20 disposals from his 18 Macca’s League matches. The 23-year-old spent the majority of his year on the wing for the Tigers but still managed to hit the scoreboard with his neat left-foot kick, booting a total of 16 majors for the year.

Educated at St Patrick’s College in Ballarat, Barry represented the Northern Territory at the 2012 U18 AFL National Championships. After playing in premierships for the NT Thunder (NEAFL) and Federal (Central Australian Football League), Barry made one of his rare appearances last season for the APY Thunder team in Alice Springs.
