Zac Milbank has profiled the SANFL players selected in the 2017 AFL Rookie Draft conducted electronically in Melbourne on Monday.
Glenelg father-son Jackson Edwards, who was selected by Adelaide at Pick No. 41, was among the four SANFL-based players chosen.
He was joined by Sturt premiership midfielder Pat Wilson, who was selected by the Crows with their first pick at No.17.
Fellow mature-age SANFL star Nick Holman was next to have his name called, with the Central District midfielder headed to the Gold Coast two selections later.
Norwood running machine Stefan Giro was also part of the Croweater contingent after being called upon by Fremantle at No.21.
Small defender Lachlan Murphy became the first Adelaide development player to be selected as a rookie when he was elevated by the Crows at No.38.
